However, aliens have attacked, and you must fight back. You control your auto-firing ship by sliding your finger anywhere on the screen, and the ship will follow. Aliens will die in one hit most of the time, and you die in two hits. The graphics have an 8-bit style, similar to games from the 1980’s. The graphics have a Japanese style, with comic-book cutscenes. The game is split into two segments- build, and attack. You must tap on enemies to launch cannonballs in that direction. Most enemies take a few hits to defeat, and once you defeat every enemy, you are able to repair your defenses. The game is great for long lines and car rides, but I wouldn't consider it a pick-up-and play game. (4.2/5) Rogue Sky for the iPhone, iPod Touch, and iPad is a game in which you control a hot air balloon. On your journey, you will encounter enemies and coins that will help fix your balloon. The controls are similar to one of Chillingo's previous titles, Dream Track Nation. The two on-screen buttons move your balloon left and right when you press either of the two buttons. The graphics are amazing, with a three-dimensional feel. The music is eerie, which fits together with the games "Halloween" style. Rogue Sky is very fun, and there is sure to be updates with more features. You must control one of many unlockable vehicles, and get to the finish line at the end of each level. The car is controlled by two virtual buttons, one for reverse, and one for forward. The controls are great, and the graphics have a nice style to them. The music fits well with the graphics, and is nice to listen to. The physics in each level is similar to other racing games like Jellycar (Free) with some minor improvements on the amount of control you have of your car. Dream Track Nation has an amazing level editor, in which you may create and share levels online. You can play as an adventurer, pirate, gnome, or 8-bit adventurer. Each character has unique abilities and hats (The only upgradeable armor) that you can use and equip. All of the characters, however, have the ability to jump and use a grappling hook. The controls are simple and easy to use, and the game has an endless amount of replay value. The music fits perfectly with the game's dark look.
